The eMagine Categories
The
eMagine Competition is designed to give students the opportunity to show
what they can do in the fields of
Web Design & Development, Graphic Design, Animation, and Broadcasting
and Entertainment Production.
Entries in all categories must have had a completed entry form and fee mailed in.
Please follow carefully the instructions for completing and submitting your work below:
Video:
- Short Film (all genres, max 8 min)
- News Package (max 3 min)
- Documentary (max 10 min)
- Music Video
- PSA (Public Service Announcement - informational, max 60 sec)
- Commercial (max 30 sec)
Entries will be evaluated in these areas: lighting, audio, editing, writing/story, cinematography, and following directions.
Videos may be prepared for submission using the StreamClip Process.

Animation:

Web Design:
- Design - desktop HTML/CSS web site *
- Flash – desktop Flash web site

- Mobile – site designed for use on various mobile device platforms

*Your site must follow the topic for this year’s contest, which is here, along with the judging criteria.
Your site must be accessible online to our judges. Submit the URL on your entry form.
Graphic Design:
- Typography (type-focused pieces)
- Vector Based Graphics (Graphics based on images made up of vectors)
- Print Media (Image with an actual commercial application using design elements & grid structure)
- Manipulated Digital Photography (Photos must be taken by the student)
